THE BIRDS AND OTHER WILDLIFE OF

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

13 DAY ITINERARY

EcoQuest Travel is proud to offer a special journey to the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago are the southernmost islands of the Caribbean archipelago – Trinidad lies only 7 miles off the coast of Venezuela. They contain a rich tapestry of biodiversity which, in Trinidad, is closely associated with South America and in Tobago is closely associated with the Caribbean. In Trinidad, we will investigate several terrestrial habitats, including tropical rainforests, dense mangroves and grasslands. In Tobago we will visit dry tropical forests, the dense highland forest reserve, and the extensive marine ecosystems – especially the incredible patch reefs and fringing reefs that dot the shallows. Though the focus of this trip will be on Trinidad and Tobago’s remarkable birdlife, we will certainly be on the lookout for other wildlife as well. Trinidad and Tobago are blessed with both cultural and natural diversity and the beautiful beaches, lush forests, friendly people, unique wildlife and lilting rhythms of steel drum and calypso will both welcome us and beckon our return. EcoQuest Travel invites you to join us as we explore these remarkable islands in search of fantastic birds and wildlife!
