9. Booking and Payments

All reservations require a deposit or full payment at the time of booking, as specified on our booking page. Full payment is typically due 60 days before the trip start date. Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of your reservation.

10. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The initial deposits, as well as subsequent trip payments, will be used to pay deposits for accommodations, travel arrangements, etc. in the country, or countries, you will be visiting. Therefore, if you must withdraw from the trip, irrespective of reason, a refund will not be possible. We strongly recommend that you protect yourself with the purchase of travel/trip cancellation insurance.  

11. Changes and Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or modify a trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, or other events beyond our control. In such cases, we will attempt  to postpone the trip, or offer an alternative tour of equal value. In the event EcoQuest Travel cancels a trip due to low enrollment, a refund of the initial deposit , and any subsequent payments, will be made. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred due to trip changes.

12. Assumption of Risk

By participating on our tours, you acknowledge that ecotourism activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to hiking, wildlife encounters, snorkeling, boatting, and travel in remote areas. You voluntarily assume all such risks and release us from liability for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during your trip. Again, we strongly suggest the purchase of travel insurance.
